Sabbath School - Valerie Olango
The Sabbath School is the primary religious education system of the Seventh-day
Adventist Church and has four purposes: study of the Scripture, fellowship, community outreach, and world global
mission emphasis. Every one, whether a member of the church or not, is welcome to be a member of a Sabbath School
class. These classes meet weekly, from 9:50 to the 11:00 divine worship service, to study God’s Word with the help
of age-appropriate Bible study guides. In addition, class members conduct various outreach programs and provide
assistance for each other during times of need.
The Sabbath School Team are committed to you but want those attending to commit to
Jesus. Together they hope that you will work with them in their endeavours.
The Sabbath School want to continue to suport the work of the other Ministries within the
church and anyone who needs or wants extra support.
The Sabbath Schhol are open to your suggestions to ensure the enhancement of the
weekly programs.
The Department believes their role is not to entertain but wan to draw those who attend
closer to Him.
Their three main aims are:
- Win souls for Christ
- Educate members and they study and share together
- Create an environment where people can fellowship one with another.
The Sabbath School programmes are prepared for children from the Cradle up the age of
16.
