I had so many things to atone for and could not comprehend that God would simply forgive me and love me without punishment. However I feel you have explained that extremely well. I say this because I personally have meditated the exact actions mentioned. The more consistent I was the more I began to understand and believe . The power of my faith and my relationship with God and the Holy spirit became enriched my fear of his wrath became healthy my bond and Love deeper throughout.
