Dr. Devron A. Thomas, born and raised in Laborie, St. Lucia, is an ordained minister of the Gospel. Before joining the South England Conference workforce, he served as the Stewardship Director in the Turks and Caicos Islands Conference and Senior Pastor of the Grand Turk District.
Prior to accepting an inter-Union call to serve in the Turks and Caicos Islands Conference, he served as a district pastor in the Saint Lucia Mission of Seventh-day Adventists, tele-evangelist, and speaker for the Open Bible Telecast. As a Pastor, Dr. Thomas executes his duties faithfully, professionally, and strategically. He demonstrates a heart and passion for pastoral nurture, leadership and administration, and evangelism. He is an all-rounder with extraordinary strength in teaching and preaching, having conducted many evangelistic campaigns in several Caribbean islands, the USA, and Canada.
He specialises in Systematic Theology, Apologetics, Church history, and Philosophy. Dr. Thomas holds a Doctor of Theology degree in Historical Theology and has taught various theology courses as an adjunct lecturer at the University of the Southern Caribbean satellite campus. He is the author of two books, “God Science and Miracles” and “Faith in Conflict: The Rise of Anti-Trinitarian Thought in Adventism,” and he is the chief editor and founder of “Faith in Focus Apologetics Magazine.”
Dr. Thomas is married to Dr. Bethia Thomas, a specialist in Natural Resource Management, and together they have three children: Benjamin, Meghan, and Melanie. He is passionate about nature, surfing, and promoting justice and intellectualism within the Christian faith.
