This month at Croydon

May 2021

If we have learnt anything over the past year, it is the importance of family, cohesion and staying connected, so a fitting theme for the month of May is ‘The Connected Church’.

Each Sabbath during Divine Service (11:15am – 12:45pm) we will focus on the importance of connections and look at them through the lenses of different groups within the church men, women, teenagers, youth and families.

May marks a significant step for us as a church. It’s with great excitement that I can finally say that the church will be opening its doors to in-person worship again on 22 May!

In these times, as God’s children we must never yield to the doomsayers but anchor our hope in Him. Life is more than the visible things we see each day or a journey of trial and error. Even though we learn new things every moment and learn from our mistakes, God is perfect, and He knows what lies ahead of us. Learn to learn from Him, trust Him and lean upon Him.

When we appreciate our connections, our lives become more balanced and we can accomplish more. Better and deeper connections enable us to develop a fuller perspective. The fact is church is NOT something we do, it’s a family to connect with. Equally, as we cannot fulfil God’s purpose for my life by myself, we must learn to embrace and appreciate the connections around us.
