Are you ready to feel better, happier, and more connected? Join the Step to Health Squad, a free 6 weeks community walking group designed to boost fitness, health and social connection for all ages, from strollers to striders; small steps leading to big changes.
About the programme:
Starting on 24 May 2026, let’s walk, talk and feel better together on enjoyable, guided walks beginning locally and gradually building in duration. Every Sunday, from 8:30am until 21 June. Our last walk on 28 June will be at 7:30am in the countryside!
The programme aims to inspire long-term healthy habits, increased confidence, and a sense of achievement – ending with a celebratory countryside walk and recognition of participants’ efforts through certificates and prizes.
Our objectives:
- Improve physical health and fitness
- Boost mental wellbeing and reduce stress
- Increase social interaction and community connection
- Build sustainable exercise habits beyond 6 weeks
- Motivate participants through goal-setting and rewards
What to expect:
- Interactive weekly group challenges
- Six week leaderboard
- Support and motivation offered throughout the programme
