The Teens’ Ministry leader along with the assistant leader, took a group of up to 8 teenagers and 1 adult from our church community on a mission trip to the Ivory Coast summer 2025. The primary purpose of this trip was to help renovate a number of classrooms, a library and a nursery at the College Adventiste Divo, an all-through school in the Ivory Coast. We also provided much-needed computers to enhance the educational opportunities for the local students. In addition, our teens learnt from their peers in the Ivory Coast and vice versa. This mutual exchange provided a rich and diverse learning experience for both groups of young people.

 

We raised funds to help cover the cost of travel and accommodation and items for donations with the help and support from our local church and community.

 

Our aim was to support and provide better opportunities for the students and families in the Ivory Coast while helping to enhance the values of our young people. Building resilience and differentiating between a need and a want are critical to thriving in this post-modern world. We are certain this experience will go a long way to changing lives and broadening perspectives.
