We have a coach trip to the beach every summer and you don’t need to be a member of Croydon SDA Church to attend – everyone is very welcome! This year our destination is Camber Sands. With 5 miles of beach, Camber Sands is a perfect spot for exploring, picnics, walks and more. View a map of the activities and facilities Camber Sands has on offer.
We will travel by coach from Croydon SDA Church to Camber Sands.
About Camber Sands
Camber Sands, located east of the ancient town of Rye, is a little unusual for a Sussex beach and the reason is in the name. Yes, sands! Unlike most beaches along the Sussex coast, which are lined with pebbles and shingle held in place by a series of groynes, Camber is covered in fine, golden sand. Not only that, but Camber is home to the only sand dunes in East Sussex.

Meeting Point
The coach will depart from Croydon SDA Church Yard, South Norwood, London SE25 6LH. Get directions here. Please ensure that you arrive by no later than 7:30am as the coach will depart promptly and a refund won’t be possible if you arrive after the coach has left.
What to bring
We recommend that you bring a packed lunch/snacks to enjoy your day out and a picnic blanket to sit on.
